Call of Duty: Black Ops

Call of Duty: Black Ops is the 7th installment of the Call of Duty series.  It was released on November 9th, 2010.  It is also the first game to be set in the Cold War.  You follow the memories of Alex Mason who is an operative of the SAD/SOG.  There are many aspects of this game and it is one of the best selling first person shooter games of all time.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 was released on November 10, 2009 for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.  It was highly popular and sold over 20 Million copies.  You change through many perspectives throughout the storyline.  This game even further revolutionized gaming, and recieved an average of 9.4/10.

Call of Duty: World at War

Call of Duty: World at War was released on November 11, 2008 for the PC, PlayStation 3, Wii, and Xbox 360.  This game focuses on the Pacific and Eastern Fron of WWII.  This game recieved mostly good ratings with an average rating of 8.5/10.  This game was criticized for not getting as good ratings as Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, even though I like them both the same.  Call of Duty: World at War is famous for being the only Call of Duty that I don't own, but I hope to buy it soon!

Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare

Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare was the first popular shooter game set in modern times.  The game takes place in 2011, even though it was released in November 2007.  In the story, a radical leader executes the president of an unnamed country in the Middle East and an "Ultranationalist" movement starts a civil war in Russia.  You play as a U.S. Reconnaissance Marine and a British SAS Commando.  You go through many places in the Middle East including Azerbaijan, Russia, and Pripyat, Ukraine.  This game revolutionized gaming and recieved a 9.5 average rating.

Call of Duty 3

Call of Duty 3 was released on November 7th, 2006.  It was the only Call of Duty game not to be released for PC.  It was released for Xbox, PS2, PS3, Wii, and Xbox 360.  You can play as the Americans, the French, the Polish, the British, and a Canadian.  This game recieved ratings as high as 8.8/10, and was looked at as very successful.

Call of Duty 2: Big Red One

Call of Duty 2: Big Red One is another WWII shooter game developed by Treyarch.  It is the second Call of Duty 2.  You are invading North Africa, Sicily and Omaha beach on D-day.  This game recieved mostly good reviews, with an average rating of 8.5/10.  It is called the Big Red One because the U.S. Army 1st Infantry and their patch on their shoulder is a big red number 1.

The real Call of Duty 2

Call of Duty 2 was the second game in the Call of Duty series.  It was for the Xbox, GameCube, and PlayStation 2 and was released about a year later for the Xbox 360.  It  is set in WWII and is experienced through the perspectives of four soldiers: one in the Red Army, one in the United States Army, and two in the British Army.  This game recieved many positive reviews and sold 250,000 copies in its first week and has sold over 1.4 million copies since then.
